Defined by Wikipedia as is the technique of prolonged cooking of food by dry heat acting by convection and not by radiation normally in an oven, but also in hot ashes or hot stones. It is primarily used for the preparation of bread, cakes, pastries and pies,tarts, quiches and cookies.

Defined by me as something my mom loves doing but I have never done before till today!

Well today, somehow I decided to try my hands on cupcakes. Inspired by Bree from Desperate Housewives, I decided to make Lemon Meringue Cupcakes.

It took quite long cos I was doing everything according to the book scared to make the slightest mistake. Mummy helped me out here and there especially with the icing cos she just loves baking.

THE RESULT:

ONE WORD : SCRUMPTIOUS!

I can give Bree a run for her money! XD I was thrilled and shocked that the cupcakes turned out. After all, everything I try seem to backfire the first time. To name a few, piano, guitar, caklempong, the list goes on!

Now I have another option, CULINARY ARTS! (as if! :)

My family & I successfully completed the above. (: We managed to off all switches available in our house even the fans! Only thing left on was the refrigerator so that the food in there wont get spoilt.

My kakak thought the police would catch us if we don't off the lights. So by 8.20pm she started taking out the candles. XD

Mission Impossible Is Now Possible!

One word to describe today is OH.MY.FREAKIN.'CRAP.YEA!

Today was the day where our Interact Club's hopes and dreams were either to be achieved or crushed to pieces.

Today was the day where we, as in me, Najwa , Leonie and Pn.Yew , were scheduled to meet the Pengetua face to face regarding our always rejected International Understanding Day.

My heart was pounding throughout the whole day. I wasn't thinking straight and thus we had some last minute mistakes on our suggestion paper which could have almost blown our chance of having an I.U.Day this year. Thank god Pn. Yew was sweet enough to correct the mistake for us as we weren't allowed in the teacher's multimedia room. :) Pn.Meerita our new Interact teacher wished us good luck with her cute voice.

We had to wait for around 40 minutes outside the Principle's office as there was another teacher inside. I was pacing up and down the long corridor, talking crap and basically freaking out despite being calmed down by Najwa, like 5 minutes ago.

Then the teacher who was in the Principle's office came out. And so did the principle to our shock but luckily she wasn't going home, just to the toilet. Therefore, we had to wait till she was done. And when she came back, *DANGDANGDANGDANG!!* we had to go in for our "appointment". Fairuz waited outside wishing us good luck wth a huge good luck smile.

That was the first time in my 4 years of being in SIGS, had I ever stepped foot into the Principle's Office. And boy was it huge and it smelled better than any part of the whole scool. The school basically smells like cat shit and sometimes cow shit. I wonder where the cows come from? Ran from the topic.. The room was filled with high raised cabinets and thropies. My heart fell when the principle went silent while looking through her diary.

The Pn.Yew broke the silence by handing in the paper. We handed the Charity Home Visit paper in first because that shouldnt be such a problem. And that's wehn I saw the big uge obvious mistake. It said 18 Mac 2009 (Sabtu) When 18th March is on a Wednesday!! But I doubt she even realised that. Just when I thought the mistake was over but no, in the paper it stated 18 Februari 2009!! I swear I was thinking of taking the principle's handbag and slapping myself HARD. Once again, she let that pass and signed.

Then came the most crucial moment. THE APPROVAL OF THE I.U.SUGGESTION PAPER! The moment the principle saw the paper, I started explaining what an International Undersanding Day actually was but to my shock was cut short. This was all I maage to say " An International Understanding Day is actually about..." Then she went "Tidak apa..".

Then she started flipping throught the pages of the suggestion paper till the last page where her signature was needed. At that moment I started holding my breath. And trust me , I'm not good at holding my breath which often cause me to drown, but this time, I was better than Michael Phelps.

The moment she put her pen down on the paper, all of us watched nervously. I can still picture the image in my head. And then she signed it!!! OH MY GOD!! The moment she was done signing, all of us breathed out like rhinos. Even Pn.Yew!! Then the principle asked us "Kenapa takut sangat?...:)" and I was like " Dari tadi kita tarik nafas!"

Leonie, Najwa and I came out running from the Principle's office with a huge rin on our face. The feeling during that moment was priceless. I felt on top of the world. And Miss Ng Yin Yin was shocked as I.U.Day's were like a taboo in our school during her time which was 10 years ago!

THAT MADE ME EVEN MORE HAPPY AND PROUD OF NAJWA , LEONIE & MYSELF.

And the verdict is ...... WE WILL BE HAVING OUR I.U.DAY 2009! VIVA LA MEXICO!!

I would like to thank GOD first of all, for always answering my prayers!

And to Najwa, thanks for always being there when I get panicky and all the support from you. Really appreciate you so much eventhough I don't say it to you (cos' you'll perasan).

And to Leonie, your're the best I.U. Director SIGS has ever had. The amount of time ,energy and brain power she put into doing the suggestion paper is unexplainable. She's basically te main reason for the approval.

And to Hazel, for always lending me your ear about all this Interact stuff eventhough your're not even in the club. For all the advice, suport, suggestions and basically being a good friend. Love ya loads!

And finally to all my other friends, you all rock!! And do attend the I.U.DAY!!
